The Van Gogh Gallery in Madrid invited Toby to exhibit 3 pieces at an International Contemporary Art fair in Luxembourg organised from the 18th to 20th September 2020 held at “Luxexpo The Box”.

Toby was also invited to exhibit 3 paintings in Milan at a contemporary art gallery set up with high resolution screens, aimed to create a continuous multimedia exhibition. M.A.D.S is the first fully digital multimedia gallery hosting a new major event called “DRESSME”, which took place during Milan’s famous fashion week from September 17th - 30th

Toby created 3 paintings each 120cm x 120cm on stretched canvas. His technique included poured acrylic paint and freehand brushwork depicting Japanese Kōhaku Koi fish and Lionfish.

Toby created 3 paintings, which were showcased digitally on high-resolution screens. Toby’s compositions emulate Milan’s fashion week with his use of vibrant colours. His pieces convey different emotions, as he wanted to illustrate a relationship between colour, fashion and identity in his work. The 3 paintings are called Elation, Hope and Waves of Relief.
